Through hard work, dedication, and a true understanding of the needs of participants, Sharon quickly advanced to the pivotal role of Senior House Coordinator. In this leadership position, she has proven herself to be an integral part of the organisation, overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of homes that provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities.
As Senior House Coordinator, Sharon’s role involves more than just logistical management; she takes a hands-on approach to ensure that every participant not only receives the care and attention they need but also thrives in their daily lives. For Sharon, whale watching is more than just a hobby; it’s an opportunity to reflect and find peace, as she marvels at the powerful yet serene presence of the whales, drawing inspiration from their strength and beauty.
Sharon's unique combination of professional dedication and personal passions shapes her as a compassionate, thoughtful, and effective leader within the disability sector. Katrina is relatively new to the Disability Sector but has taken to the sector with vigour, eagerness and dedication. The majority of work undertaken by Katrina has been direct support worker which she has greatly enjoyed and has positioned her nicely for the new challenge of House Coordinator.
Katrina has enjoyed working with people with a disability within their own homes, providing them with opportunities for growth, independence, skill development, socialisation and of course community engagement. Katrina's favourite memories are bringing a smile to the faces of the people she works with. When not busy at work Katrina enjoys the beach, fitness and painting, however, also enjoys spending time with family and friends and even finds the time for some volunteering over the weekends.
In the time I have been working within Valued Residential Support Services. I have found being apart of supporting the participants in their own homes. Supporting them out in the community, doing day to day activities that brings a smile to their faces, very rewarding. In my down time I go for walks on the beach, into fitness, enjoy painting, spending time with family & friends and volunteering for the homeless doing a Sunday breakfast.
